Meet Winston

Greek Shepherd Mix • Elefsina, Greece

Winston captures your heart at first sight. Another gentle giant for lovers of large breeds, this 8-year-old boy is a true gentleman and his photos simply don't do him justice—in person, he is absolutely stunning. Then he makes eye contact with you and you're done for. Sweet, good-natured, and endlessly affectionate, he deeply craves human companionship, which he's been deprived of all his life. We find this tragic, because he gets along with everyone he meets. We've seen every person fall in love with Winston, but none have given him a home.

Winston was found in December 2022 in devastating condition; he weighed a mere 35 kg, was missing half his fur, and his blood levels were dangerously low. The vet diagnosed him with Leishmania and Ehrlichiosis, which he beat after three months of dedicated hospitalization and intensive treatments, Winston emerged triumphant as a completely different, vibrant dog that melts our hearts.

Today, Winston is fully vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, microchipped, and healthy... he simply takes daily Zylapour as a routine maintenance medication to keep him in top shape. This incredible dog has fought so hard to regain his health, and still has tons of love left to give. Are you the one he's been waiting for all these years?
