Meet Erika

Pointer Mix • Elefsina, Greece

Erika (also affectionately known as Videl) is a sweet, 4-year-old girl, weighing in at a a perfect 14 kg. She is a wonderfully tender and social companion who simply loves being around people. She is very adaptable and friendly, getting along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Smart and eager to please, she has even mastered her basic commands and is a joy to have around.

Erika's journey to get here was not easy. She was found two years ago—skinny, terrified, and wandering alone near a cemetery after being released back onto the streets without the medication she desperately needed. Thankfully, a guardian angel crossed her path just in time. She took Erika in, provided her with the medical care, food, and the grooming she needed, and undoubtedly saved her life.

Today, Erika is completely transformed and has fully recovered, reaching her ideal weight. While she is positive for Leishmaniasis her vet has confirmed she currently only requires routine monitoring and no medication. This brave, affectionate girl has overcome the odds and is ready to start a beautiful new chapter full of love and safety with you.
